1998년, 디자이너 임선옥은 Ego Design Studio를 설립하고 서울컬렉션을 비롯해 국내외 패션 무대에서 컬렉션을 전개했습니다. 우리는 패션 인더스트리의 구조적 한계와 환경적 문제를 넘어설 새로운 방법을 찾기 위해, PARTsPARTs Zero Waste를 런칭했습니다. 파츠파츠는 단일 소재를 기반으로, 옷을 이루는 parts들의 규칙성을 발견하고 이를 모듈화하여 제로 웨이스트 디자인을 실현하는 데 집중해왔습니다.
이는 트렌드를 초월한 지속가능성과 실험정신을 상징하며, 오랫동안 이어질 브랜드의 사명으로 자리 잡았습니다.
브랜드명 PARTsPARTs는 분할과 차별화를 의미하는 PART라는 개념에, 부분들의 합을 의미하는 S를 결합한 것입니다. 즉, 단순히 패션 디자인의 영역을 넘어 다양한 예술과의 소통을 추구하며, 패션 속에서 ART의 의미를 더욱 깊게 만드는 것을 뜻합니다.
In 1998, designer IMSEONOC founded Ego Design Studio and presented collections on both domestic and international stages, including Seoul Fashion Week. In pursuit of a new path that transcends the structural limitations and environmental challenges of the fashion industry, we launched PARTsPARTs Zero Waste.
Based on a single material, PARTsPARTs has focused on discovering the inherent regularity of the parts that make up garments and modularizing them to realize zero-waste design. This represents not only sustainability that goes beyond trends but also a spirit of experimentation, establishing itself as a long-standing mission of the brand.
